"Stylish" and concisely we wanted to express our enthusiasm about "desert". Far from palm jungles und inflationary increased numbers of camel caravans (at least on German 4x4) we discovered the pictograms of Otl Aicher and in accordance with the rules he defined for designing sport-icons we designed symbols of the challenge of travelling the Sahara. Beside the hometown of the world tallest church tower (didn't you know that Ulm has the Münster ...) and perfect design our connection to Otl Aicher is as well the love of the Sahara: While "walking in the desert" he discovered a "thinking scenery" changing the "horizon of mind ". (Otl Aicher, "gehen in der wüste", Frankfurt 1982, S.Fischer Verlag, ISBN 3-10-000407-8) For those who want to share the desert-enthusiasm and want to have something unique, our shirt are the right ones. As we wear them as well, we of course took a extra good quality which does not "capitulate" after five times washing. |
